Support for Skateboarders Across Pakistan

In March 2021, we sent an initial shipment of 12 complete skateboards and provided guidance on building a safe and inclusive skateboarding program to unite skateboarders across Pakistan under the name Skate Pakistan.

In February 2022, we travelled to Lahore and Islamabad to further support Skate Pakistan. During this visit, we donated 35 brand-new complete skateboards, a DIY skateboard manufacturing kit, and a digital SLR camera donated by FujiFIlm USA.

Together with local skateboarders, we hosted inclusive skateboarding workshops for beginners of all ages and genders. We also contributed to building local skateboarding infrastructure by constructing a quarter pipe at a skate spot in Lahore. Alongside skateboarders from Lahore, we traveled to Islamabad to connect with skateboarders across cities, culminating in a large meetup of skateboarders from across the northern region.

In February 2023, in partnership with Wonders Around the World, we built an 850-square-meter concrete skatepark—the first professional-standard, free public skatepark in Pakistan. Located in the historic Bagh-e-Jinnah Park in central Lahore, the skatepark serves all segments of society and includes a free loaner skateboard program used in weekly lessons led by our partners at Skate Pakistan.
