Support for Skateboarders Across Guatemala

Since Spring 2024, we have been working with our local partner, José Paiz, to support grassroots skateboarding programs across Guatemala. Our efforts to date include::

• Petitioning local municipalities to secure sanctioned skateboarding spaces and events

• Collaborating with schools to host workshops and develop skateboarding clubs

• Supporting free weekly youth skateboarding programs in Antigua, Guatemala, led by José Paiz

The weekly workshops are held every Saturday, are officially sanctioned by the municipality, and average 20 participants.

We have also supported José and local skateboarders in traveling to Quiché and Lake Atitlán to support grassroots programs, foster regional collaboration, and connect skateboarders across different regions.
